First check up with the dentist

Well I go in for my first checkup today at 3:30. I will be switching to tray 4 before I go to bed tonight and am hoping that it isn't too tough to get on and off. I get my first tooth shaving done today too and I am super nervous of that. I am just praying that it doesn't result in big gaps that I am waiting for to close up. I would rather them just take a small amount of tooth off and if I have to come in more often then so be it...wish me luck!!

tray 3

So last night was the big night, I removed tray 2 for the last time and put in tray 3 and wow - was it difficult. I was a bit scared that the tray wasn't going to fit on my teeth and then all of a sudden it just kind of popped on. It was really tight, definitely tighter than tray 2. However I have not had any pain really, just pressure. I haven't taken any sort of medicine so I think that is good. My front right tooth is really pretty tender today so I am thinking that it is going to be moving a little in this tray. Two weeks from now I go to the dentist for the first time and will most likely have some shaving done, not looking forward to that. I may take some pictures after I switch to tray 4 but if there is no visible signs of movement I may not.

2nd tray

So I just put in my second set of aligners last night after dinner and before I went to bed. I woke up with a small amount of pain (pressure) but things aren't much different then they were with tray 1. I have yet to take any pain medicine because well, I feel no pain, none at all. I actually just ate lunch and was able to take the aligners out almost as quickly as I could the previous set. So all and all no big deal really switching from tray 1 to tray 2. I am assuming I have gotten through the toughest part but we will see what tomorrow brings.

Invisalign Before Treatment and Week 1 Pics

So I started Invisalign on Tuesday March 31st, so it has been just about a week since I started the treatments to straighten my teeth. I will try to update this blog once every three trays (6 weeks or so), maybe more if there is something to update on. I have to wear 15 trays on top and 20 on the bottom (due to crowding). I will also have to do a few of the teeth shaving with the first one being the next time I see the dentist after the third tray (about 5 weeks away). Here are some pics of my teeth before Invisalign, with the "buttons", and from the sides.
